Its curved handle is made from ironwood, whose natural grain gives each piece its own character. Automatic opening raises the canopy at the press of a button. Eight reinforced fibreglass ribs, a strong steel shaft and an integrated damper stabilise the frame and produce a resonant, controlled sound as the umbrella opens. With a canopy diameter of 113 cm, the Distinct covers one or two people.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBlack Abstract has a double-layer canopy. The exterior features an abstract design in black, off-white and red that continues across several panels. The interior is solid black. Designing the exterior and interior independently gives the canopy its particular material and visual depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe tightly woven pongee allows water to bead and run off cleanly and has a rich, matte surface. Closed, the Distinct measures 92 cm and weighs 585 g in this double-layer version.
