It began with the Iconic
SAPOR Iconic
Over three years, we repeatedly tested, refined and coordinated the handle, mechanism, frame, canopy and sleeve.
The result is a folding umbrella with a large column-shaped handle and a frame of ten fibreglass ribs. Together, they give the Iconic its stability and characteristic silhouette.
The canopy as a canvas
SAPOR Distinct
With the Distinct, the canopy becomes a design surface. Motifs extend across its eight panels; seams, repetitions and transitions are considered precisely within the composition.
Selected versions combine two separate layers of fabric in one canopy, allowing the exterior and interior to be designed independently. The double-layer construction creates a muted sound in the rain. The curved ironwood handle has a distinct grain on every umbrella.
